The Sage Sound Bass Thing Mk2 is a complete re-work of the original Bass Thing, first released nearly 10 years ago. Now with peak+RMS limiting, digital I/O and an extended range of sounds & adjustment. Not just yet another over-glorified EQ.
The popular variable high pass returns, the Sweep section comes from the 5u Preamp which itself was an evolution of the original Bass Thing sweeps and the 4-Way section comes from the 7u Preamp (previously reserved for Iration/Aba/QSS).
Intended usage: soundsystem.
FEATURES:-Fully adjustable sophisticated Peak and RMS limiting via the Sage Control software. Front panel LED to show when limiters are in action.
-Input volume control with 4 LED meter and kill switch.
-Bypass switch to bypass all processing and hear the raw input signal.
-Variable resonant high pass, can be used as a sweep effect or to boost the low end whilst cutting the driver damaging lowest frequencies.
-Sweep tone control with 3 different levels of overdrive + tone control for fine adjustment.
-4-Way volume controls, the ‘graphic-but-not-actually-a-graphic’ section. These can be also overdriven.
-Switch to toggle between Sweep section, 4-Way section or to play both together.
-Volume controls to balance Sweep and 4-Way section levels.
-Brushed stainless steel box with durable front/rear panels, available in the full Sage colour range and knob colour choices.
CONNECTIONS:
-Analog Jack and XLR inputs and outputs, all balanced. (Left and Right inputs are summed internally, this is a mono unit).
-S/PDIF input and output.
-AES/EBU input and output.
(Any combination of input and output sockets can be used simultaneously)
-USB-C for connection to Sage Control software.
